  Commander Gerald Donnelly was born in Hanover, PA. He graduated from Hanover High School and attended Electronic Institute in Philadelphia, PA..
   Commander Donnelly joined the US Army on December 4th, 1968 and was sent to Fort Dix, NJ for basic training. Afterwards he attended his Advance Infantry Training (AIT) at Fort Knox Kentuckey. He was sent to Vietnam in September 1969.   In June 1970 while in Vietnam he contacted malaria and was sent to Fort Zama in Japan. He was discharged from the Army on August 20, 1970.
  He moved to Palatka, FL. in April 2015 and joined VFW Post 3349 in May, 2015. Since then he has served as Jr. Vice, Sr. Vice, and now Commander. He has been a real asset to the post working hard to help Post 3349 be an All State Post the past three years. He is looking forward to the challenges ahead and making Post 3349 and the VFW grow.
